Wrestlers at Huntington North

The wrestling team went 2-3 this past weekend at the Huntington North Super Duals. Overall, it was not the start to the day that we wanted, but we came back and began to perform the way that we are capable of finishing the day with two consecutive wins. Round 1: Lost to Oak Hill Round

Wrestlers defeat North Miami 51-21

The wrestling team defeated North Miami at home last night by a score of 51-21. There were numerous forfeits throughout the dual for each team. After the forfeits were counted, we were up by 12. Our wrestlers did not have to rely on the forfeits, winning on the mat by outscoring North Miami by 18.

Wrestling at Wawasee Super Duals

This past weekend the wrestling team competed at the Wawasee Super Duals. Overall, the team went 3-2 on the day. The wrestling program will declare a Wrestler-of-the-Week for every week that we compete. For the week of 11/30/13 we only competed at the Wawasee Super Duals for our first competition of the year. Whitko Wrestling Club to Start New Club Sessions

Starting Wednesday, April 8th the Whitko Wrestling Club will be hosting Premier Wrestling sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30pm.  The sessions will run from April 8th – July 31st (2013).  The coaches for Premier Wrestling will be Head Wrestling Coach at Manchester University, Matt Burlingame along with Whitko Athletic Director and former Head Wrestling

Four Whitko Wrestlers made it to Semi-State this year but it was a tough Semi-State for the Wildcats as nobody made it out to the IHSAA State Finals.  Greg Newman (113 lbs.) was the only Whitko Wrestler to when his first round match.  He won his first round match against A.J.
