Wrestlers at Wawasee Super Duals

The varsity team went 3-2 on the day with convincing wins over: Wawasee, Fort Wayne South Side, and Marion.   Whitko High School Wrestling held their awards night and presented plaques to the following:  Brent Klingaman-Mental Attitude Award; Cole Findley-Most Valuable Wrestler; and Zach Baughman-Most Improved Wrestler.  Not pictured is Insu Jo who also received a plaque for Most Improved Wrestler.

Wrestler-of-the-Week 1-6/1-11

The wrestler-of-the-week for the week of 1-6/1-11 was: Jake Rothgeb Jake went 5-0 at the West Noble Super Duals while splitting time at both 120 and 126. Jake was able to wrestle extremely well the entire day and control nearly every match he wrestled in.

The wrestling team went 2-3 on the day West Noble. The team started the day wrestling Jimtown and losing a very tough dual 42-25. The second round we wrestled the eventual champions, Prairie Heights. The team wrestled very well and the dual came down to the very last night where we eventually lost 39-32. The

The wrestlers traveled to the Goshen Invitational this past Saturday and were able to finish in 4th place. While there were some mixed results on how we finished throughout the day, overall we were able to compete very well and wrestled extremely hard all day long. Wrestlers Win Bishop Luers Invitation

The high school wrestling team won the Bishop Luers Invitation. The team went 5-0 on the day, and had 5 wrestlers go undefeated on the day. The team wrestled with a pace and intensity that is much more on par with what we expect as a program. Today was a step in right direction, and
