The Lady Cats lost to Bremen 55-27 in the first round of the Tippecanoe Valley Thanksgiving Classic. “We did not play with much enthusiasm or passion,” admitted head coach Dr. Rick Bragg. “While Bremen is a quality, top rate team I was disappointed that we did not put up much of a fight.” Whitko struggled offensively throughout the contest, making only three free throws in the first quarter when they fell behind 10-3. For the game, the Lady Cats could only secure six field goals. Emalee Duggins was the leading scorer with 11 points. Ellie Snep added 8 points and 13 rebounds. Sarah Hewitt had five points and Kayla Schipper scored three. “We have to turn around and play a really good Goshen team later today so it will be interesting to see how we react. We had played really consistent and quite well our last five games until today. I am not sure why we were so inconsistent this morning,” Bragg said.
