Meet Recap

The Whitko girls’ cross country team participated in the West Noble Invitational Saturday. While they battled extremely wet and rainy conditions, it was an exciting day because it was the first time the girls’ team has had enough runners to score since August of 2013. Below are results for the six girls who ran Saturday. There were 248 total runners in the race.

72nd – Sarah Walters (Freshman) – 22:40.5
93rd – Hanna Yohe (Senior) – 23:28.3
159th – Amanda Leppek (Freshman) – 25:31.3
211th – Manon Sonneville (Junior) – 27:36.4
213th – Angel Moyer (Junior) – 27:55.5
234th – Lizz Foutz (Sophomore) – 30:41.9

The girls are back in action Wednesday in a dual meet versus Rochester. That meet will take place at Whitko Middle School, with the girls running at approximately 5:00 p.m. It will also be “Senior Night”, as we honor senior Hanna Yohe. Those ceremonies will begin at approximately 4:50 p.m.
